Hello,
I got the following error in Oracle 10g db:

RMAN> register database;
starting full resync of recovery catalog

Could anybody please tell me what I should do now?

You need to post the exact oracle version for both target database and catalog database and version of your rman catalog.
This is a known bug which is fixed in 10gR2.
