Dear All

I have to upload more than 200000 records with 15 columns from Microsoft Access file into oracle 9i database.I am trying to upload it by first download it into excel but excel cannot support that much data.kindly help me.

Save the data in a CSV file and then use SQL*Loader to load it into Oracle.

One should be able to map Oracle tables in Access via ODBC. When done the Oracle table will look like a local table and you can just copy the data across.

First of All, Thanks for the reply, I have searched for the option of saving microsoft access file into CSV format but Microsoft Access does not provide any facility of saving Microsoft access file into CSV file.One more thing I need to mention,I am using Microsoft Access 2003.please assist

Have a look at Oracle Migration Workbench

Then you could download and install the workbench with msaccess plugin, if it's suits the purpose.

As far as I understand the MS-Access migration component was moved to SQL Developer.

Dear all

Once again,thank you all of you who supported me ,Now I have downloaded and installes sql developer but unfortunately unable to use it successfully ,I have seen the help of SQL developer but after work for 2 hour no output come,if someone guide me regarding data migration by using sql developer then i will really appreciate.

That is a very vague request. Can you please be more specific? What happens when you try? Do you get any errors?

Thanks for the reply,I have done the following steps.

open sql developer
under migration,click quick migration
quick migration wizard diaglog box appear,click new,
in the oracle tab, input the following information
input connection name 'zuhair',give user name and password (sys/s),check save password option,give role "sysdba" ,give connection type "basic",didnt check any any check box like os authorization and others,give host name 'zkhan-dfml',port '1521',sid 'dba' and then push the test button and then status show "success"

in the access tab, input the following information
input connection name ,input mdb file name by using browse button,after this step click test button then the following message display 'test fail odbc microsoft access driver not a valid password

I have tried to create odbc link but i think i have done some thing wrong,kindly help
