I have taken an export dump of oracle 9i which is running under Linux... I have installed oracle 10g in a windows machine.. I want to import the dump taken from 9i( on linux) to this 10g version under windows... How can I take this... Do I have to create any table space like the ones in 9i also in 10g or simple importing of the dump will be enough?? When I did the import activity through the 10g interface I got the import logerr which is attached for reference..

As the OS Is not the same you have to precreate the tablespaces and import with "ignore=y".

Tx for your comments..

Do I have to create the tablespaces of the same name or in different names???... If created in different names how to link the names with the ones in the dump... Will be very much thankful if you explain how to go about this...

Tx
