Hi,

I am trying to restore one database in new host with different filesystems.

1. I have restored whole DB at new host once.
2. Then I shutdown the database and deleted all files *.dbf , *ctl. redo every thing from new host.
3. Again trying to restore the DB from same backup, while restoring many files are being skipped. In fact those files are not present in new host.

Please let me know how to avoid this situation.
Do I need to do something in RMAN ? or need to set something while running restore. "NO SKIP" something like that ?

Hi,
new host with different filesystems.

What is "different filesystem" ? Is it a different platform ?
