Hi,

One of our production database datafile got corrupted. We are not using RMAN for backup. We have a logical backup of the database taken every night. I have the logical backup of previous day.

How can i recover the tablespace. Whether i have to move the tables from that corrupted tablespace to a new one or any other options available.

Please Guide Me.

You can't recover with a logical backup, this is why a logical backup is NOT a backup.
The only thing you can do is to reimport the backup and get back the data as they were at backup time.

Whether can i move the tables from that tablespace to the new one and rebuild the indexes. Is it possible.

I cannot move one of the table from that corrupted tablespace.

I am getting the following error.

ORA-01578 ORACLE data block corrupted (file # 15, block # 481106)

What i have to do to solve this.

when i checked i found that I don't have a backup of the database.

Please Help.
