Can I apply archive log from a database backupset?
I have full backups of database to date 15. And a full backup of database at date 16. No archive between them. Can I restore my database to any point between 15 and 16?

You originally say that you want to "apply archivelogs from a database backupset", then you mention that you don't have archivelogs ??
If you don't have any archivelogs between the 15th & 16th backups, then no you can not restore to a time between those times (course this is assuming that the redo logs have completely switched out between those times). If you do have the archivelogs, then you can restore between those two times.

You cannot do a point in time recovery untill and unless you have the archive logs till that praticular time. here since you are having only full backups on 15th and 16th, and dont have any archive logs between these days, you cannot restore the database to any time between 15 and 16.
