Hello,

I did an export in oracle8 and importing in oracle10g

I created the tablespaces identical to that of oracle8.

When i launch the import, i get the message:

ORA-01917: user or role 'LOCTRAIN' does not exist


Why am having this error for this user only but not all users.

It depends.
Perhaps because user or role 'LOCTRAIN' does not exist.

We don't know how or what you did before starting the import.

the error is self explanatory.
the mentioned user does not exist. May be the the import is trying to grant
the user a certain privilege.
Just precreate the user or ignore the error
