Hi,

I run a command through RMAN for checking "BLOCK CORRUPTION".
The bwlow are the command:-
============================
RMAN> backup validate database archivelog all;

But when I am checking the v$database_block_corruption or the v$backup_corruption, I found "no rows selected".

Still I am getting error when I am checking with dbv utility.

My question is :-

Is there is any initialization parameter I have to set for populating the above views?

Kindly suggest.

Pokhraj

V$BACKUP_CORRUPTION displays information about corrupt block ranges in datafile backups from the control file. Note that corruptions are not tolerated in the control file and archived redo log backups.

If there is no row then there is no corruption in your datafiles backup.

Michel
