hi,

I have lost my current redo-log file.
How do i start the database without loosing the present data.
I have yesterday's backup.

If you lost your current redo logs, you also lost all modifications that was recorded in it.
The only thing you can do is to restore and recover till the last SCN of the last redo logs you have and then open reset logs.

[Edit:] I assumed you lost all the members of your current log group otherwise you can use the other member(s) to restart the database.
