Hi All

I am looking for options for Backup and recovery for a 2 TB Oracle 10G R2 database (Data Ware House).

Any help on this is appreciated

No, or only if hot backups are to be done.

No It does not need to be up 24x7. A downtime of 12 hours 1 time a month and 4 hours daily is allowed. Its data warehouse.

Frequently, RMAN is the best utility and it is the part of Oracle production. You can configure RMAN with catalog (seperate DB or nocatalog - DB'scontrol_file).

Example with nocatalog
