i had a db in 11g go crashed somehow. The service is not shown in the services list. I have all the datafiles and control files. Anyway to recover the DB.

in which form you have alls data file and control files is it cold backup by os or you have online backup?

whats crash is it datafile error or controlf file error,what does it throw error when you startup database,please give extra detail.

Just create the service.

ORADIM -NEW -SID yourSIDname -pfile "location of pfile"


start the service.
login to the database

Post the errors you get?

Is your database in archive log mode?
