We have a Primary database which is located at main office and now we would like to create a Physical standby of this at our development center.
We cannot use the the dataguard for auto log transfer, the only possibility is we can receive the archive logs for a day from primary which is done by a nightly batch job.
Is it possible for us to setup a physical standby in Read-Write mode with Flashback so we can test our database whenever we need and make changes and can apply the logs from primary and revert to consistent state with standby
The oracle dataguard docs ´have not specified the scenario which we need to configure.

Thanks
preet

Yes, it is possible the way you say and it is automatically handled in 11g.
