Hi friends,


I am going to install Linux enterprise edition 4 (32 bit) on my new laptop.As this is 64 bit processor do i have to dowload oracle designed for 64 bit? I have oracle 9i and 10g 32bit.

for 64 bit os,always use 64 bit supported oracle database version.to move datas from 32 bit version to 64 bit version,refer following ref:

If u have 64-bit hardware then u can install 32-bit or 64-bit OS. Then install on 32-bit with 32-bit Oracle and With 64-bit OS 64-bit Oracle.
I have experiance of installation of these softwares.
I was unable to install 32-bit Oracle on 64-bit os.
